Prolyte staging system is configurable in any pattern with interlocking 1x2m regtangular sections. The legs can be set from 30cm high to over 1.2m high, and through their adjustability, make it possible to get a level stage on uneven or sloping ground. Below are only a few examples of various stage shapes and sizes.

  • 5x4m - Small stage just large enough for 4 piece rock band.
  • 6x5m - Medium stage for most any performing act.
  • 8x6m - Large stage for dance recitals, large choir, or other acts requiring a lot of stage room.
  • 2x2m - Drum Riser platform or mini stage for solo or duet acts.
  • "T" shape 6x2m  with 2x6m runway - Pageant or modeling style stage


Pricing is based on the number of blocks used and the number of legs used and what height (stages higher than 90cm require bracing for safety and stability. Price includes setup and breakdown. Additional travel expense may apply. Pricing good for 1-3 days. Add 10% of original price per day for events lasting longer than 3 days.

  • R300 – 1x2m regtangular section
  • R7  - 900mm
  • R5 – 600mm
  • R3.00 – 300mm
  • R200 - Stairs for 900mm+ high stage
  • R150- Stairs for 600mm high stage, no rails needed.

For example, a  6 x 4m stage at 600mm height uses 12 Blocks (R3600) and 36 legs (R180), then add one set of stairs (R220) for a total of R4000

How do I select the right sound system and what is it going to cost?

Sound Systems - details & rates (Rough Estimations dependant on brands, application and availability)

  • Voice only applications - minimum of 1/2 watt per person (250 Watts would cover an audience of 500) - "Small Vocal" system is recommended, or "Large Vocal" system for wide area outdoor coverage.
  • Music accompanied singing to tape/CD or a few acoustic instruments - minimum of 4 watts per person (2,000 Watts would cover an audience of 500) - "Small Club" system is recommended, or "Small Vocal" system for rooms under 150 people.
  • Contemporary pop/light rock band - minimum of 8 watts per person (4,000 Watts would cover an audience of 500) - "Small Club" or "Large Club" system is recommended.
  • Hard rock or metal band - minimum of 12 watts per person (6,000 watts would cover an audience of 500) - "Large Club" system is recommended.
  • Audience sizes over 2,000 - "Outdoor" system recommended.
  • At least double all power requirements for outdoor settings.

*NOTE* The above power requirement guide is only intended as a rough estimate. Venue size, shape, acoustics, stage area, music styles, band performance, etc. are all factors that can influence sound system power requirements. These estimates assume optimal acoustical conditions and MINIMUM power requirements for ANY supplier's sound system, and are provided only as a quick estimate in calculating the sound reinforcement expenses for your event.

All systems include mixer, microphones, effects processors, cables, and other ancillary equipment. Call or e-mail for details.

  • "Small Vocal" system - Two full range speakers on tri-pod stands. About 500 watts
  • "Large Vocal" system - Four full range speakers for wide-area coverage. About 1,000 watts
  • "Small Club" system - Two subwoofers and two mid/high speakers. About 5,000 watts
  • "Large Club" system - Four Subwoofers and four mid/high speakers. About 10,000 watts
  • "Outdoor" system - Variable configurations of a Four-Way system. About 15,000 watts - 55,000 watts

P.A. system including delivery, setup, and operation throughout the duration of the event

  • R1700 - "Small Vocal" system without monitors
  • R2200 - "Small Vocal" system with up to 2 monitors
  • R2550 - "Large Vocal" system with up to 2 monitors
  • R3800 - "Small Club" system with up to 4 monitors
  • R4700 - "Large Club" system with up to 5 monitors
  • R7500- R40 000 - "Outdoor" system with up to 12 monitors

Variations in system setup needs may increase or lower rates.
Travel expenses may also apply. Estimate R2.60/km round trip)

"E-Z" system (P.A. system only, no sound crew)

  • R750 - An easy to use complete portable system (two speakers, amplifier, 12 channel mixer, effects processor, CD/Cassette player, iPod cable, and 2 microphones)
  • additional microphones available, and connect your own instruments (keyboard, guitar, etc.) if applicable
  • add monitor wedge(s) – R250 each
  • add a subwoofer – R400
